at the end of the year we’d like to draw your attention to two new releases of young musicians living and working in Berlin, both an aural pleasure and at the same time a promise to a creative future.

 

At our successful Anniversary Concert "TANGO ALLA TURCA meets TANGO OYF JIDDISCH" the ensemble OLIVINN took the Turkish part. On their debut album KARA they combine traditional Turkish and occidental classical music. And with the amazing voice of their gorgeous singer Begüm Tüzemen, Turkish Tango comes into play. A manifold album, merging different cultures to a sensual aural adventure.

Our 2nd proposal refers to the Australian violinist Daniel Weltlinger. Like many others, he succumbed to the charms of multicultural and cosmopolitan Berlin recently. Dealing with the music of Sinti and Romani gypsies, he as a renowned interpreter of Gypsy Swing worked with the family of late Django Reinhardt on CD releases and concerts.

His new album is dedicated to the Reinhardt family and takes us to the musical heritage of Django. Composed by Daniel Weltlinger, and recorded with a bunch of excellent musicians. Simply beautiful to listen to.
